  1. What is VROOM?

  2. Which are the areas where I can avail VROOM services?

    Vroom will operate across India. At present our services are available in different places in Bangalore.

  3. What mandatory information is required to book a car from VROOM?

    Applicants Full Name, valid Email Address, Working Phone Number, and a Valid Driving License with additional supportive ID proof

  4. What type of cars available in VROOM?

    VROOM offers a wide range of cars in Hatchbacks, Sedans, SUVs to choose from. Please refer to our Tariff & Fleet page for further information.

  5. From where do I Pick and Drop the Car?

    Customer can pick and Drop the car from any of our designated hubs

  6. Can I get Home Delivery of the car?

    Yes / Minimal charges applicable

  7. Can I book for any period of time?

    The minimum rental period is 6 hours. There is no upper limit on the rental period (you can book your car for as long as you want). Just in case you want to book the car for longer than 30 days, please feel free to call us for special deals.

  8. Can I book a one-way trip?

    Sorry, we are yet to start offering one-way or point-to-point services. For the time being, we need you to bring the car back to the same location where we delivered it to you

  9. Any price difference in Peak Season/ Weekday/Weekend Tariff?

    Peak season refers to festive periods of very high demand. Our hourly rental tariffs are different for weekdays (Mon-Thu), weekends (Fri-Sun) and the Peak Season. The dates and prices for the Peak Season are mentioned on our fee policy.

  10. Can I Postpone booking start time

    Yes. Please refer the fee policy for rescheduling your booking.

  11. During the trip an accident or damage to the vehicle, what is my maximum liability?

    In the unfortunate event of accident or damage, your maximum liability is limited to Rs. 7500 and the charges levied will be the lower of the repair estimate provided by an authorized dealership and this limit. However, we will need you to follow the terms of vroom User agreement (common sense stuff, like not driving under influence of alcohol, not violating traffic laws, etc.) to provide you the insurance and maximum liability cover. In situations of irresponsible or unsafe or negligent usage, there could be discretionary exceptions to this policy, whereby the user could be liable for all damages irrespective of applicable insurance coverage. The payment owed will be deducted from the security deposit paid by the customer. In cases where the estimated damage charges exceed the security deposit, we will request the user to pay the same at the time of returning the car. In cases of non-payment, Vroom Drive reserves the rights of legal action, reporting to credit bureau and reporting to other authorities or persons, irrespective of their direct relevance to the case.   12. Is VROOM 24/7?

    Yes, we are accessible 24x7. You can Pick/Drop cars anytime between 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM.

  13. Am I responsible for parking and moving violations?

    Yes

  14. Who pays for fuel?

    Vroom Drive always pays for the fuel, if you are driving a long distance then you need to refuel the vehicle. After your trip completion, just handover your fuel receipt to the fleet executive, Vroom Drive will reimburse you the amount based on the verifications of the bills.

    Please note that:

    Vehicle number should be printed on Fuel Bill. We will NOT be able to reimburse fuel bills shared with us later.

    The fuel expense needs to reconcile reasonably with the distance travelled.

    The fuel expense needs to reconcile reasonably with the standard fuel efficiency of the car.

    The date on the fuel bill should fall within the booking period.

    Hand-written/ Manual fuel bills be considered invalid.

  15. Is there a KM limit to how much I can run?

    Each booking comes with 10 km/hr. You can still drive more than free km. but there is Excess km charges to be paid for the additional Kilometers. Pls refer tariff page for excess km charges.

  16. How long before can user book the car?

    You can book minimum of 4 hours in advance for Home Delivery & For hub pickup 1-hour advance

  17. What if I return to a different location?

    Currently there is no such option available,Request to drop the vehicle at pickup location

Eligibility

  2. How old do I have to be to join VROOM CAR?

    Members must be 21 years of age & Must require valid driving License

  3. What information must I provide before I can make a vehicle reservation?

    User must be approved member of Vroom

  4. What documents do I need to bring when I pick up my VROOM Car Vehicle?

    You need to show the original valid Driving License along with Passport/Voters ID card/Aadhar card, and

    VROOM RequiresvalidLMV driving license or an International Driving Permit (IDP).

  6. Can someone else drive the vehicle during my Trip?

    You can Request for adding co driver during your trip by sending a mail and get a confirmation from us. If that person is not a vroom drive member then ask them to register in Website/Mobile app by uploading their Dl and Aadhar and get verified from us. Please do remember, you are still responsible for the vehicle during your reservation. If Non-Vroom drive approved person drive the vehicle, then booked customer will be responsible and limited liability will be void.

Booking

  1. How do I make a booking?

    Booking with us is quick and easy. You can make a booking through our app, website. Just select the date and time of your trip, key in your location and choose the type of car you want. Then enter your payment details, confirm payment and you are ready to vroom!

  2. How far in Advance can I make a booking?

    Hub Pickup: You can book minimum of 1 hours in advance. Home Delivery: You can book minimum of 4 hours in advance.

  3. What if I need to modify or extend my reservation?

    You can select the My trip page on website/App for which you want to modify your reservation. (Subject to availability)

  4. How do I cancel a reservation?

    You can select the My trip page on website/Appfor which you want to cancel

  5. Can someone else make a booking on my behalf?

    No. We highly recommend only our registered users to make booking for themselves.

  6. What is the Pick-Up and Drop-Off window/time frame?

    Yes, we are accessible 24x7. You can Pick/Drop cars anytime between 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM.

Payment & Charges

  1. What Modes of payments are accepted?

    We accept payments by credit cards, debit cards, net-banking. Payments need to be made in advance through our website or mobile app.

  2. What will be included in the Payment?

    Your payment will include car rental tariff, Service Tax, accessories (if chosen) and security deposit.

  3. Can I pay directly to the executive at pick-up location or who has come to give the delivery?

    No. All payments are to be made online only. Please do not pay anything to any of our executives.

  5. Who pay for parking / tolls / interstate Permit entry

    User has to pay

  6. How do I identify the transaction on my credit or debit card statement?

    Each transaction with VROOM will appear marked as from 'VROOM DRIVE INDIA PVT LTD.'

  7. Why do i pay the security deposit?

    Charges a minimal security deposit to cover itself against any damages that may happen during the course of the journey.

  8. Can i delay the payment of security deposit?

    No, Security deposit is paid online while making the booking payment.

  9. Does Security deposits differ according to the car?

    No. VROOM charges a fixed security deposit of INR 3000 for all its cars.

  10. Will I be refunded the entire security deposit?

    Yes. Transparent refund policy. We will refund your security deposit within 5 to 10 working days successfully complete the trips.

  11. How will the security deposit be refunded?

    Security deposit will be directly refunded back to the transaction source i.e. Debit/Credit Card/Bank Account.

  12. Is there a Speed Limit Fines?

    Speed limit 100kmph, above 110kmph 1st time warning, after that INR 1250 for each violation, over 150kmph expulsions from vroom. You will be blacklist if you speed over 150 km/hr.

My Trips

  1. Can the pickup and drop locations be different?

    No, pickup and drop location must be same.

  2. Can I opt for Home Delivery?

    Yes, Minimum charges applicable

  3. Is it possible to extend the booking?

    Yes, you must contact us at least 4 working hours before the end of the Hire Periodand subject to availability of cars

  4. Can the car be returned early?

    Yes, you can return the car early. The amount charged still remains the same, however user has to give prior intimation in case Home delivery

  5. What do i need to check before I take the car?

    You need to check for damages, dents, interior, exterior, vehicle documents, tool kit, spare tyre, wiper, headlight, tyre pressure & relevant accessories. You also need to fill and acknowledge the start checklist provided by our representative.

  6. What if user met with an accident?

    We request you to remain calm and contact Us immediately via our Support Page. Do not leave the place of accident until proper support has arrived. Please sign relevant documents related to the accident.

  7. Can someone else apart from me drive during the trip?

  9. What are the rules applicable for my trip?

  10. What if I drive across a State border?

    Members are responsible for paying all tolls during the trip.

  11. VROOM Car vehicles are registered with an All India Permit, allowing the vehicle to enter any state in the country.

    Members must pay all inter-state taxes and fees upon entering into a neighboring state. For the state of Andhra Pradesh, VROOM Car will charge flat INR 250 for existing vehicles which have the State entry permit. In case of non-available of existing Andhra Pradesh State entry permit vehicles, then Member has to pay the State entry permit fee cost and Vroom Car will reimburse balance amount after deduction of INR 250 (flat charges of state entry permit) provided with original permit copy while end of the trip.

  12. Can I hire a driver for outstation travel?

    No.

  13. What documents do I need to produce at the RTO Check Post?

    You need to take the entire document folder and produce the relevant documents. The documents are RC Card, Insurance, Permit, Authorization, Pollution Certificate, Driving License etc.

Emergency Support

  1. What is the support provided by VROOM Cars?

    Yes, we are accessible 24x7. road side assistance in case of an accident/vehicle breaks down.

  2. What do I do if I meet with an accident?

    Immediately notify VROOM Car by calling to support desk and we will guide you through the entire process. We will guide you to coordinate everything with the police, insurance, and road-side assistance. Do not leave the scene of the accident until proper support has arrived. You may be required to sign several formality documents associated with the accident.

  3. What do I do if the vehicle breaks down?

    Immediately notify VROOMCar bycalling to support desk and we will guide you through the entire process with the help of our Call Center and Fleet Executive team. Each vehicle also has a 24x7 road-side support hotline number. VROOM Car will coordinate everything with this road-side assistance provider. Do not leave the scene of the breakdown until proper support has arrived.
